Itinerary

The adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 4:00 AM. From there, we travel to the traditional Andean community of Pacchanta on a scenic journey of about three and a half hours. Along the way, you will enjoy spectacular mountain views and observe local wildlife, including llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas grazing across the highland plains.

Upon arrival in Pacchanta, located at 4,300 meters (14,108 feet) above sea level, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast while admiring the impressive Ausangate Mountain rising above the surrounding landscape.

The hike begins around 9:00 AM, following trails that cross wetlands, valleys, and mountain terrain on the way to the famous 7 Lakes of Ausangate circuit. As you explore the route, you will discover stunning lakes such as Azulcocha, Otorongo, Pucacocha, Alqacocha, and Qomercocha, each showcasing unique colors shaped by mineral-rich glacial waters. Throughout the excursion, your guide will share information about the area's geography, culture, and natural significance while allowing plenty of time for photography and exploration.

After visiting the lakes, we begin the return hike to Pacchanta, where a well-deserved lunch awaits. Following lunch, we start the journey back to Cusco, arriving in the evening after an unforgettable day surrounded by some of the most extraordinary landscapes in the Andes.
